Qualified FCCA accountant with over 20 years of deep experience across a number of enterprises, financial and organisational structures and distressed asset management. Jonathan has extensive experience in asset design and refit as well as liaising with receivers and banking institutions in challenging economic conditions. As CEO of Fota Island Resort for many years, Jonathan was an integral part of the development of the property from golf course to the renowned resort it is today. He was heavily involved in the negotiations with Starwood and the bringing of the Sheraton brand name to Ireland, and laterally Xiu Lan Hotels. He successfully managed the start-up of the Fota Island Resort brand and associated planning issues which arose during the expansion of the resort over the years. More recently Jonathan worked closely with many of the pillar banks and prominent receivers such as PWC, KPMG and Grant Thornton in his current Invite Resorts role.
Derek is a Chartered Director, Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) and holds a Diploma in Corporate Finance from Chartered Accountants Ireland. He is currently a member of The Institute of Directors and The Institute of Bankers. Derek has over 20 years experience working in the financial services sector and for the past 9 years has been working with business owners across various sectors to help them achieve their objectives and to provide additional support to their businesses in the area of Funding/Finance and Corporate Governance. Derek has gained extensive experience working with a broad range of businesses in the hospitality sector assisting them to restructure their debt, raise funds for growth and develop long term strategic plans. He also completed independent business reviews for pillar banks and worked with receivers to execute asset management plans in the sector. Derek is an Independent Non-Executive Director of 2 long established family owned businesses and is also Company Secretary of the Waterford Chamber of Commerce.Derek has been working with a broad range of hospitality businesses to assist them in developing action plans to help with the challenges they face from the current Covid-19 crisis.
With over 20 years of international sales & marketing roles in both the hospitality and retail sectors, Séamus brings an extensive knowledge base and essential network of experience to the team. His approach is result orientated, practical and innovative, to ensure each property is progressing in a manner suitable to the brands’ ambitions. In particular, he works with a group of industry leaders in terms of market research, PR, digital marketing and graphic design to create individual bespoke solutions of each property. During his time as Marketing Director with the Kilkenny Group, Séamus was heavily involved in developing new retail brands, opening new stores nationwide and introducing a variety of own brand ranges. Credited as the mastermind behind the now internationally renowned Christmas experience at Fota Island Resort, he also counts amongst his achievements the reimagining of The Kingsley hotel brand and the establishment of the Fota Island Resort brand. Séamus developed his international experience as European Brand Manager for the US textile label Cutter & Buck.
